To set up your Netflix campaign on ad:personam, follow these detailed steps:
  • Step 1: Select the Netflix Campaign Template
  • To begin, select the Netflix campaign template grouped under the "Video" section. This template is specifically tailored for advertising on Netflix and can be found in the Video channel options.
  • Step 2: Create an Insertion Order (IO)
  • Next, you'll need to create an Insertion Order (IO). This step involves setting up the basic parameters of your campaign:
    • Campaign Name: Choose a descriptive name for your campaign.
    • Flight Dates: Set the start and end dates for your campaign.
    • Budget: Define your budget. Note: The minimum budget for a Netflix campaign is €1000, and once set, the budget cannot be edited. Ensure that the budget aligns with your campaign goals before proceeding.
  • Step 3: Configure Campaign Details
  • After creating the IO, you'll be directed to the next screen where you will configure the following essential campaign details:
    • Country: Select either Germany or Italy as the campaign country (only one can be selected).
    • Max Average CPM: This is the maximum average CPM you’re willing to bid on the inventory. Ensure that your maximum average CPM exceeds the deal targeting item CPM to increase the chances of winning the bid.
    • Creative Selection: Choose the video creative from the assets you've previously uploaded. Important: Your video must comply with the Netflix Creative Source Specifications
    • Deal Targeting: Select the deal targeting based on your preferences for type, country, video duration, and CPM. Note: You can only select one deal for each campaign.
  • Step 4: Review Netflix Campaign Settings
  • Due to the premium nature of Netflix inventory, certain campaign settings are automatically applied and cannot be altered. These pre-configured settings ensure your campaign adheres to Netflix’s advertising guidelines:
    • Optimization Goal: Reach
    • Goal Target: Delivery
    • Day Targeting: All Day
    • Delivery Type: ASAP Delivery
    • Daily Frequency Cap: 3 impressions per user per day
    • Lifetime Frequency Cap: Disabled
    • Weekly Frequency Cap: 14 impressions per user per week
    • Monthly Frequency Cap: 40 impressions per user per month
    • Recency: 1 impression per user every 1 hour
    • Predicted Viewability Rate: Disabled
    • Default Brand Safety Segment: Not applicable for Netflix campaigns
